Junior League of Pasadena’s Latest Cookbook Wins Five Awards

PASADENA, CA – California Mosaic, published by the Junior League of Pasadena, Inc., is the 2008 West regional winner of the prestigious Tabasco Community Cookbook Awards and four others.  In the last year, the California Mosaic has been named:

• West Regional Winner, 2008 Tabasco® Community Cookbook Awards

• Winner, Best Cookbook, 2008 DIY Awards

• Winner, Regional Cookbooks, 2009 National Indie Excellence Awards

• Finalist, Regional Cookbooks, 2008 USA Book News National Best Books Awards

• Honorable Mention, Home Category, 2009 Eric Hoffer Awards

Continuing the Junior League of Pasadena's tradition of stunning cookbooks, California Mosaic celebrates the mosaic of life in Southern California with recipes and anecdotes that represent how we live. The area’s multiple cultures, lifestyles and cuisines are reflected in this collection of 245 recipes for everyday meals and elegant entertaining.

The Tabasco® Community Cookbook Awards were established in 1990 on behalf of the McIlhenny Company as a way of recognizing achievements in the arena of community cookbooks and to encourage the preservation of a vast array of regional food traditions. It is the only program solely created to recognize the best of the thousands of cookbooks issued annually to generate money for charitable causes.
